L-O-V-E in the Field : collograph, solar plate insert, about 20x28. The back story on this piece is as follows. I was flying into Spokane, where I grew up, and looking down over the palouse as we started to descend to land. I saw a field that spelled out L-O-V-E. It was clear to me that the farmer who owned that field knew that the knoll he left unplowed did spell out those letters. I have added a second image of detail so you can attempt to see what I saw. Anyway, I turned my photo into a solar plate and added an abstraction of aerial fields.
